Kelli, 9months Female Cockapoo Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Kelli is an adorable, but somewhat shy 9 month old Cockapoo who was rescued by a friend of Save A Dog. She came up heart worm positive so is being treated a new way, rather than using the harsh poisons. She will still be not available for about a month, but we're looking forward to taking our time and finding her the perfect home. She loves to play with big dogs and needs a play mate as she is very active. She is not a dog for an older person or for small children. She does shed so is not for someone with allergies. Bingo, 1-2 years Male Whippet  Mix   Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Bingo is a little Whippet mix who was turned into a humane society in WV. He showed up as a stray and a family began feeding him. The people who'd been feeding him say he's great with kids. Our rescue partner at Friends for Life took him in, vetted him, and he is ready for a home. When you take him out on leash, he prances ahead of you -- yes, prances. His little ears are back and his tail is up and he is the cutest thing to watch from behind! He has helicopter ears and a brindled coloring so we're thinking he's a whippet mix. He enjoyed playing with a white Husky mix as well as several of the corgi mixes she rescued. We're trying to get him a ride, so probably some time in March (will it ever stop snowing?). if you are interested, you may apply ahead of time and we'll keep your application on file until he arrives. Gypsy, 6 years old Female Lab  Mix Click on picture to enlarge Apply To Adopt Gypsy is 6 years old, spayed. She was abandoned when her family moved so someone went and untied her and brought her to the humane society in WV. She is great with kids. Very friendly, walks well on leash for me and good with the menfolk too. Typical lab in that she loves LOTS of water! :o) She is in WV until we can get her a ride. If we get some applications or interest, that will help speed up the process. She's a nice dog! If you can donate, we're raising money for this shelter as their kennels were crushed during the last snow storm.
