Savanna

	Savanna (former known as Jizelle) came into our lives four months after the passing of our 15-year old lab, Taylor. Although unspoken, I think at the time we were all a bit unsure if we could love her as much as we had Taylor. Within minutes of meeting her that worry quickly dissipated. She was sweet and gentle and loved being with people. Her Save a Dog Bio stated that “she was pulled from an overcrowded shelter in Tennessee on the day she was to be euthanized.” We are eternally grateful to Save a Dog’s Tennessee animal advocate Villa Mitchell for saving Savanna’s life that day. By saving her life, Savanna made our lives richer for having known and loved her. We spent one year and eight month with Savanna by our side before she became very ill. We feel fortunate for the time we shared with Savanna and miss her dearly every day. However, somewhere in our heart and mind we find assurance in believing that she and Taylor are chasing squirrels, somewhere, together. -Savanna's Family
