Wilbur, ~ 1 year Male Bichon Frise

I’m Wilbur, a one year old, 15-pound, Bichon Frise. I have a remarkable story: I was rescued from a life of neglect where I was one among ten dogs and did not get the care or attention I needed. In fact, I had never been groomed before being taken into rescue! In just two short weeks with my foster family, however, I transformed – not only showing how beautiful I am after a good grooming but also coming out of my shell and becoming the playful, cuddly boy I was meant to be. I love nothing more than snuggling on the couch with my people and getting belly rubs. Having lived with dogs of all sizes, I am an excellent playmate to my canine friends; I got along great with my foster brother, a Jack Russell terrier. I also lived with cats and cohabited with them fine. I’m crate trained and house trained, and I’m working on my leash-walking skills.
