Dear Shirley and Kathy:
I am sorry that we haven't written to you sooner to provide you with an update on Riley (formerly Mickey), but we've been too busy enjoying him! He has proven to be the perfect addition to our family. When we first brought him home he was very frightened and unsure of his new home. Within a couple of weeks he really started coming into his own and now runs around the house and has explored every inch of the yard. We brought him to Paws in the Park this summer and he had fun meeting all of the other dogs. We bring him everywhere with us, he has gone hiking and he even dipped his toes in Lake Winnepausake a few times this summer. He is not much of a water dog, but once the snow starts falling he is happy as a clam. He loves to jump in the air and catch the snowflakes before they hit the ground. He has made a few doggy pals and loves to romp around the yard with them. He really is just a goofy dog that loves to play and we couldn't have chosen a better companion. He makes us laugh all of the time with his crazy antics. I look at him sometimes and can't imagine that someone would ever abandon him. Not only is he absolutely adorable, but he is remarkably well behaved and sweet. I suppose someone else's mistake is our blessing. In the end, I'm sure he was always meant to be with us.
I just wanted to thank you for all of the work you do. I'm sure it isn't always the easiest job and I can't imagine how disappointing it may be to see the way people mistreat and abandon their pets. But, as I'm sure you have been told before, you bring so much happiness not only to the dogs that you rescue but also to the people that adopt them. Riley has changed our lives for the better and I can never thank you enough!
Best Wishes,
Nicole and Jason Fragoso (and especially Riley)
